CAMPER GENDER(S): Coed Campers.
BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: This unique summer program has students working from an original short film script written by the students under the guidance of professional storyteller and actress, Stephanie Chavara or professional improviser, Tim Soszko. Next we bring in a professional filmmaker and students experience acting and working on a movie set while building important interpersonal skills. Their film will be screened for the public at a red carpet premiere at the the Wilmette Theatre. Our 9th – 12th grade section delves into a more sophisticated and comprehensive approach to filmmaking.

Video/Filmmaking/Photography, Theater, and more.
CAMP LOCATION: We are located approximately 20 miles from the Chicago Loop in the beautiful suburb of Wilmette, IL. We are about a 30-40 minute drive from the heart of the city.
CAMP FACILITIES: We are located on the second floor of the historic Wilmette Theatre. Our accommodations include two studios, a theatre, and an off-site auxiliary space, under a 5 minute drive away from our central campus.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Actors Training Center has been a reputable center from training actors K - Adult for almost a decade.
Our executive director, Carole Dibo, is constantly in touch with what the industry needs and expects from actors of all ages.
With frequent guest instructors like LA Casting Director Deb Dion & House of Cards Casting Director, Julie Schubert; Chicago talent agents from Stewart, Gray, and Paonessa; and Writer/Director David Singer, Dibo implements topical and critical lessons from current industry professionals into every class available at ATC.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: The Actors Training Center offers year-round training for actors Kindergarten - Adult. We offer current, up-to-date training from professionals in the industry: actors, writers, directors from Chicago and as far as L.A.
